Big Bear Trip

Due to a recent shoulder surgery (myself, not Benicios) I had to take a few weeks off of work. Darn. Having to wake up at 10-ish every morning, staying up 'til...whenever, watching TV shows I've only heard of, and finding out what BeniciosMomma and Benicio do all day. I still haven't put my finger on that last one but fortunately we were able to flee the city and get away from it all. With some close friends in tow we set off to the "humble" little cabin up in Big Bear (which is more like a pimped out estate where Snoop Dogg or Clay Aiken would go to unwind).

First goal was to get the kids out on the boat (getting the womenfolk to approve was a little harder than we thought). I'm not too sure Benicio even knew he was on the boat the way Momma had him covered...he had to at least hear the engine, right?

"I'm sailing..."

This trip was also the first "New Moreno/Curiel" outing. The "Old Moreno/Curiel" outings were a sight to see. Chock full o' arguments, cursing, and damaged boat props. I'm happy to say that the New Family trips got off to a great start. Benicio and Greyson got along well (they actually got on the same nap schedule by the end of the trip) and the parents got to relax in the dry Big Bear air. I almost forgot what cold felt like. Thank you for reminding me Big Bear.

By the end of the trip the little dude's were like bosom buddies. Benicio even had a hand in Greyson's rolling over lesson. Hopefully I am witnessing the beginning of a great friendship or at least the little dude's can fake it so their parents can party it up.
