Road Trip!
The first official new and improved "Curiel Family" road trip took place this weekend, chock full o' hijinks galore (and frankly I'm too tired to look up the spelling of "hijinks" so bare with me). The crew consisted of Aunty Carlos, friend/neighbor/BFF-of-AuntyCarlos Ray-Ray, BeniciosMommy Violet and BeniciosDaddy (who is still beat from doing all the driving but that is another story for another Blog).
The trip was a total success - Benicio learned to shut-up on long drives, Aunty Carlos and I got to see our long-lost sistah Kamrizza, and we got to hang with Violet's Bro, Dad and Step-Mom...oh yeah JJ was up there too but let's not talk too much about her (just kidding JJ, being that you are one of about three people who read this damn thing, I better be nice to you).
One of the things that stuck out for me this weekend was the way Benicio carried himself - very cool. It got me to thinking...Is my son going to be cooler than his Dad? I like to think that I'm cooler than my Dad, and I'm pretty sure he's ten-times cooler than his Dad (Bible-Pushers don't get many cool points in my system...not knocking the Bible, just saying: I don't think Fonzi, Ponch, or Uncle Jesse from Full House were pushing that book). Anyways, could it be that in our family the men are evolving into some super-cool being. I mean, by the time I have grand-children they might be cooler than fricken Zack Morris and A.C. Slater combined. It's worth noting...
Props To S.F.:
If I could live anywhere it would be there. I love that town. So much to do and see and you don't need a car to do and see it all. The only drawbacks are my family living in L.A., price of real estate and the weather isn't the best (although on those sunny days, it beats any day in L.A. by a landslide). Big ups!
Oops:
If you still read this Bailey and you are wondering why I didn't call this weekend...blame Alisa. Actually, it wasn't all her fault...my sister occupied our time and we had to see the family and...I forgot to put your number in my new phone (yes, I'm so lazy I've only finished the A's in my phone book). I do know we'll be seeing eachother soon though (there is a wedding date set and you-know-who may be getting an invite soon).
Sorry for that personal aside...had to get that out so I don't lose reader 2 of 3.
Also, thank you Benicio for being the bigger man and giving me the keys when you and I both knew you had waaayyy too much to drink.

"Give me the keys...I'm drivin."
lakers update (no colors and no capital letters):
Losing by 26 to clinch the fact that you will not be going to the playoffs with your so-called "leader" on the bench because he bruise his wittle calf: Priceless. I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Pain does not exist in this Dojo, does it!?" Apparently the L.A. Kobe's don't follow the Cobra-Kai mantra.
