Sleeping
Why do people always say, "don't let the baby sleep in your bed!"? Don't they mean pets or people you've just met that night at the local (or un-local) bar. What's the big deal? Yah, Benicio sleeps in our bed every night now. I'm not afraid to admit it. He sleeps between Alisa and I and he actually sleeps for more than just an hour at a time. It's awesome. Alisa can feed him while she lies down, I get to give him kisses when I wake up in the middle of the night and realize their is a little baby sleeping in my bed...It's freakin' great! Of course, now I wonder when it will have to end. When will we have to make him start sleeping in his $400 crib, in his newly painted room, in his designer sheets - specially formulated for little dudes? What's the cut-off for this causing some serious mental damage down the road? Will he be telling his psychiatrist about his nights spent in Mom and Dad's bed and why that is the reason he has become an alcoholic? Some day we'll move him I guess...but for now he's sleeping in our bed and loving every minute of it. And so am I.
